Pug Fest is an annual multi-day DIY music, comedy, film, and art festival happening on June 28 – 30 in Ferndale, MI.
In June 2021, The Pleasant Underground took root in a basement in Pleasant Ridge, embracing the Do-It-Yourself ethos with a singular goal: to be the soapbox, providing a platform that amplifies the voices deserving of recognition in the realms of music and art. Pug Fest debuted last summer, spanning three days across The Sanctuary (Detroit), The Crofoot (Pontiac), and The Loving Touch (Ferndale), featuring over sixty indie, punk, emo, and hardcore bands.
This upcoming summer marks the unveiling of our festival’s new iteration: a city-wide initiative in Ferndale, unfolding across various venues, homes, businesses, and outdoor spaces. From the intersection of 9 Mile and Woodward to Hilton and Woodward Heights, we’ve partnered with esteemed establishments such as The Loving Touch, Orchid Theatre, Ferndale Project, Urbanrest Brewing Company, and more to deliver an enhanced festival experience for both our audience and our beloved city.
